First game of the season…ahhhh, feels so good.

I was late thanks to work, but luckily a cold beer was waiting for me when I arrived thanks to my oh-so-thoughtful roomie. 

We missed over half of the (ridiculously fast) game thanks to a snails pace line at Ben’s Chili Dog. Let me just tell you, all the salt built up from the long line completely melted once I took the first bite into the Half Smoke…my goodness, it was nearly a religious experience.

There’s no chance that I could wait long enough to photograph prior to eating and during consumption, I looked something like a toddler at their one-year old bday party…completely covered with food. (Yeah, I know, attractive) So big shout out to the Internet for having a few photos for my post.

Yes, if you’re asking, that yellow substance called (heavy air quotes) ‘cheese’ is totally approved by Michael Pollen.

We lost to the Phillies, I only REALLY saw an inning.5 of the game, but it was a great escape and a perfect evening for baseball.
